I absolutely LOVE the pop-y flower graphics, applied directly to the window! I also love the TISSUE PAPER flowers–which are so similar to ours, but utilized a little differently. Hey, great vintage minds obviously think alike!

Cute Window Sketch by Cody Nowell

We started with the bold pattern fabric–found at our beloved local Ikea.

Next, Cody found an awesome tissue paper flower-making tutorial via Martha Stewart.

Cody suspended the flowers from fishing line and added some astroturf from Building 19–so it looks like the tissue paper blossoms are sprouting on invisible stems from this grassy flower box.

We finished off the installation with a coordinating vintage dress…

…and two of Cody’s adorable floral headbands for our smaller window!

Yay spring!!!

You can check out this window, in person, at our downtown New Bedford storefront until the end of May!

The dress is Lanvin, and the flower/star shapes and little scottie dog are cut & folded paper! LOVE IT.

We loved our downcity Providence pop-up shop, and we cannot wait to be back in town–this time at our PERMANENT new home at 231 Westminster with Heir Antiques! The new location is scheduled to open in early-mid March. We’ll keep you posted on the exact opening date!

John and I attended our first ever Fashion Week this past Fall. We had tons of fun tent-lurking, celeb-spotting, and gallery-hopping with our friend, Tom Bob.

John and I, being VIPs at a fashion presentation. John’s wearing a vintage Christian Dior shirt, vintage double-breasted blazer, American Apparel skinnies, and vintage Bostonian oxfords. I’m wearing one of my fave dresses–a one shoulder, accordion pleat mini from Rojas–and Jeffrey Campbell platforms.

Didn’t care for the designer’s line, but did love the free cocktails and how the bar lit up when you touched it… I think the bar was actually called “Touch…”

This time, John has secured us press passes, and we’ll hopefully be able to see Phillip Lim and Anna Sui–among others! We’re also planning to attend Evolving Influence, the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference, take TONS of street style pics, get merchandising and visuals inspiration for our new storefront with Heir Antiques, and possibly hit up the MOMA, if we have time!

New York is always so inspiring! Cody and I strolled Fifth Avenue last March to get inspiration for our spring windows. Unparalleled fabulousity.
