We had tons of fun working with the delightful and talented Stephanie Owen, designer and CEO of Elizabeth Cole, as well as Elizabeth Cole’s senoir design consultant, Deb Garzone (who effortlessly rocked 5-inch platform heels during our entire 8-hour shoot–while the rest of us scurried around in flats and flip-flops!)

Four-strand 24 carat plated necklace with Pear-Shaped Black Diamond Swarovski Crystals

Our shoot took place at Heir/Calico in downcity Providence! With Heir’s insanely-chic collection of furniture, antiques, and artifacts, we literally had the perfect set and props at our fingertips! The Elizabeth Cole line is made up of simple-yet-glamorous basics like braided chains a sleek bangles, along with statement-making Swarovski-encrusted craziness like 70′s-inspired jaguar heads and chunky, gem-laden, floral cuffs. Needless to say, we died seven times and went to accessories heaven!

We had a great time reuniting with photographer, Conor Doherty, (who also shot our swimwear lookbook last summer) and meeting Maggie model and fellow blogger, Jeri Evan–who I think was the perfect face for Elizabeth Cole!

As promised, before & after’s… Actually, I’m taking you behind the scenes via my Blackberry!

My amazing friend, Amelia, just relocated from Northampton to dNB, and today was the first day of her new job at Salon B in Dartmouth, MA! We’ve been scheming to cut my hair short for WEEKS, so I couldn’t wait to check out her new digs!

Amelia started my new style with a sort of “underneath halo” of low lights, my natural, dark shade. The top of my head was foiled with bright highlights and the whole shebang was toned an ash blond.

Next she cut off a good four inches of length – YIKES! – and shaped my hair in a blunt bowl cut – MOST of the way around… At first, I wanted to leave a “tail” at the very nape of my neck – like boys had, in the early 90′s…

0618bBut Amelia convinced me to relocate the rat tail, slightly to the side!

After a blow-out with my newest product addictions, Bumble+Bumble Styling Lotion and Thickening Spray, the results were official – I was LOVING my new ‘do!
