During our month-long pop-up in downcity Providence, we came to know and love many of the businesses on and around Westminster Street–Farmstead, the most amazing cheese shop EVER, Tazza, their delish coffee was a morning MUST, Clover, we’re STILL  jonesing for their J Brand jeans–and, of course, Heir.

Heir is more of a mini-museum or collection of curiosities, than a retail shop. We completely fell in love with their keen eye for deliciously-decrepit artifacts, their antique-y Royal Tenenbaums-ish aesthetic, their totally choice selection of what proprietor, Tyler Doran, calls “covetable goods.” Expertly refurbished vintage furniture, gorgeous alligator and sterling silver cuffs from Zimbabwe, and vintage-style hats, made by Rhode Island-based milliner, Sarah Havens!

And that’s why we are SO excited to announce our up-coming collaboration! Heir has secured a new, larger storefront on Westminster Street (they are currently located on Eddy), and asked Calico to contribute its own section of womens’ vintage clothing and accessories to their already mind-blowing range. We are gearing up for the opening sometime in March, and we cannot wait to be back in Providence!
